Talented kids and adults will have a chance again this year to show off their skills at the Watermelon Eating Contest. The competition will be fierce as the event gets started at 5:30 p.m. in the East Park Parking Lot of Granger Meadows Park on Friday, July 19.
Each competitor will be given a portion of watermelon to eat. The winner will be the participant who can eat his or her watermelon piece in the least amount of time.
Competition will be split into the following age groups: 6-9 years; 10-15 years; 16-19 years; and 20+ years. So bring a competitive spirit and your appetite for watermelon to this year's Meadows Celebration. We'll provide the napkins.
